ABSTRACT
“Soley” is a transmedia guidebook (print and digital) for developing customized sneakers. Among the sneaker community, there has been a void in platforms assisting in this praxis. Looking to artists like Donnell McFadden-Brooks and Sierato for inspiration, as leaders in the sneaking painting movement, the designer has created hypothetical spaces for others to explore this medium.
SOLEY APP
The Soley digital app designed to resemble a shoe box with dripping paint, works as a social media outlet and news blog for sneaker customizer culture. This was created to give the artist and the client a more direct hub for work The app also features a mock up sneaker customization section to provide a more solid reference for the artist. Each section in the site is separate by the color "paint drip it falls under, such as magenta for featured artists, cyan for news, and yellow for tutorials.
