All Black Lives Matter is a statement of inclusivity that expands upon the larger sentiment and fact that BLM. It reiterates that there is nuance and plurality within the Black community, and even within the movement it's important to acknowledge levels of violence against certain communities that goes largely unnoticed. This includes the Trans and Queer community, which has one of the highest murder rates, as well as the homeless population. It rejects the notion of respectability politics and the ideas that certain lives matter more, or should be amplified more, than others. ALL Black Lives are important.

These murals were designed using MARTIN by VocalType, a type foundry owned by Black designer, Tré Seals. MARTIN was inspired by remnants of the Memphis Sanitation Strike of 1968, and the signs of striking workers declaring “I AM A MAN.” The letterforms live 25 ft’ in height, and have been drafted by local artists and design students/alumni from @acm_gd in preparation for the community painting.
